The Fourth International Scientific Conference
'Motor Abilities in Sports - Theoretical Assumptions and Practical Implications'

The aim of the conference is to share scientific knowledge on new research directions, techniques and methods of exploring potential possibilities of achieving the optimal outcomes of sport activities and the implementation of new ideas and trends in the training process.

The conference will feature the latest empirical research results aimed at implementing new ideas and trends into the practice of physical education in schools, as well as at various levels of sports training, especially in competitive sports.

One of the leading topics of the conference will be the assessment of the impact of reduced physical activity during the pandemic on the physical fitness of children and youth, as well as the evaluation of the effectiveness of measures taken to promote sports among students after returning to school – a summary of the Ministry of Education and Science program "PE from University of Physical Education - Active Return to School".

The conference held in Krakow will also attempt to integrate the domestic and foreign research centers that try to address the scientific disputes on various aspects of the motor abilities in sports and the latest training systems in competitive sports.

The conference will provide a platform for scientific discussion about a highly qualified sport and sport of children and youth, it will concern in particular:

  • the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of children and youth,.
  • motor training of athletes in different sports,
  • modern forms used in the course of the training process,
  • motor and developmental factors in the process of sport training of children and youth,
  • criteria of selection for the highly qualified sport (staff of various rank and Schools of Sports Championship, etc.)
  • modern methods of monitoring and evaluating the effects of training and competitions,
  • new ideas in the field of control of the training process,
  • campaign against doping and pathology in sport, 
  • education and improvement of the qualifications of coaches and instructors.
